Liberty Insurance Employees Empower Orang Asli Students Through Eco-Print Workshop
Liberty Insurance recently brought together 60 employees and 60 Orang Asli students through a meaningful eco-print and upcycling workshop organised together with Dream True Empire and PSJKM. Through this initiative, Liberty Insurance employees actively participated alongside students instead of serving only as sponsors. As a result, the programme created stronger human connections while encouraging students to enjoy learning through creative activities.
The workshop aimed to create positive school experiences for indigenous students. At the same time, the programme hoped to encourage long-term school engagement and indirectly support efforts to reduce dropout rates within Orang Asli communities.
Liberty Insurance Employees Joined Students Throughout The Session
During the workshop, every Orang Asli student paired with a Liberty Insurance employee. Therefore, students received direct guidance, encouragement, and interaction throughout the activities. This approach created a safer and more meaningful learning environment while allowing employees to understand the realities faced by indigenous communities.
Participants explored eco-print techniques by using natural leaves to create patterns on tote bags. Meanwhile, students and employees also transformed plastic waste into bookmarks through upcycling activities. Consequently, the workshop introduced sustainability concepts through fun and practical experiences.
Rather than focusing only on donations, Liberty Insurance encouraged employees to become directly involved with the community. Therefore, the programme created stronger emotional impact for both students and participants.
Dream True Empire Coordinated The Programme
Dream True Empire played an important role in coordinating the programme and connecting different stakeholders together. Through their coordination efforts, the programme successfully connected the corporate sector, schools, and community empowerment partners.
Furthermore, Dream True Empire helped align the programme with sustainability and community engagement objectives. As a result, the collaboration created a smoother and more impactful experience for all participants involved.
PSJKM Designed The Sustainability Workshop Experience
PSJKM Events designed and conducted the eco-print and upcycling workshop sessions. Through years of community empowerment experience, PSJKM continues to develop sustainability programmes that combine creativity, environmental awareness, and skills-based learning.
In addition, PSJKM hopes more organisations will create similar programmes that combine employee involvement with meaningful community impact. Genuine engagement often creates stronger and longer-lasting outcomes compared to one-off contributions alone.
