UNIQLO-Taman Tugu Eco Workshop Expands Into Ongoing Series
The UNIQLO-Taman Tugu Eco Workshop now grows into a long-term monthly sustainability programme throughout 2026. Following the encouraging response from earlier participants, PSJKM proudly continues this meaningful collaboration with Taman Tugu and Uniqlo. Furthermore, this initiative reflects a shared commitment towards continuous community engagement through sustainable and creative learning experiences.
Previously, participants joined practical upcycling sessions that introduced sustainable sewing and textile reuse techniques. Building Consistent Sustainability Awareness
Unlike one-off workshops, this ongoing programme allows participants to continuously explore sustainability through monthly sessions. Therefore, participants can gradually build practical skills while strengthening awareness on textile waste and responsible consumption. In addition, the programme encourages communities to understand the long-term value of clothing and fabric reuse.
Throughout the sessions, participants may experience activities such as beginner sewing exposure, denim upcycling, fabric transformation, and sustainable crafting projects. Consequently, participants not only learn practical techniques, but also discover how creativity can reduce textile waste meaningfully.
The Power of Clothing Through Upcycling
At PSJKM, we strongly believe that clothing still holds value even after its original use ends. Through the UNIQLO-Taman Tugu Eco Workshop, participants learn how repair, refashioning, and upcycling can extend textile lifespan creatively. Instead of discarding old clothing, participants can transform fabric into useful and meaningful new products.
