Malaysia Circular Economy & Sustainability Week 2026 Brings People Together
After five meaningful days, Malaysia Circular Economy & Sustainability Week 2026 has officially concluded at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.
Throughout the week, PSJKM brought together government agencies, corporations, communities, artisans, educators, and sustainability advocates. Together, we explored how circular economy ideas can create environmental, social, and economic value.
Furthermore, the event created a space for organisations to showcase their initiatives and explore future collaborations. Most importantly, the week showed how collective action can turn sustainability ideas into practical experiences.
Government and Corporate Support
We were honoured to welcome representatives from several government agencies during the event. These included Kementerian Pertanian dan Keterjaminan Makanan (KPKM), Kementerian Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah (KKDW), Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya (MOTAC), Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS), and Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Kelestarian Alam (NRES).
Meanwhile, corporate partners and supporters also played an important role. We sincerely appreciate Pavilion Malls, BERNAS, DSV Contract Logistics, ReMadeSia, EcoWorld, and Premier Integrated Rehab for their support.
Additionally, we are grateful to the many other organisations, partners, speakers, participants, volunteers, and visitors who contributed throughout the week.
A Special Moment with Our Patron
Most importantly, the event was honoured by the presence of our Patron, Kebawah Duli Paduka Baginda Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, Tengku Ampuan Pahang.
Her presence added significance to the celebration and highlighted the importance of sustainability, creativity, and community participation.
Furthermore, Her Royal Highness witnessed the Malaysia Book of Records recognition for ReMadeSia’s “Beg Tarpaulin Upcycle Terbesar”.
From Waste to a Record
The achievement demonstrated how discarded industrial materials can gain new purpose through design and craftsmanship. The giant upcycled tarpaulin bag measured approximately 4.1 metres high, 2.2 metres long, and 1.2 metres wide.
Moreover, the initiative connected environmental action with social impact. ReMadeSia worked with PSJKM and community partners to create opportunities for local communities through the production process.
Continuing the Journey Together
Ultimately, Malaysia Circular Economy & Sustainability Week 2026 was more than a five-day event. It became a platform for people and organisations to connect, share ideas, and discover opportunities for collaboration.
