JAKOA Visit to PSJKM Gallery Highlights Skills and Opportunities

Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJKM) proudly welcomed a JAKOA Visit to PSJKM Gallery led by YBrs. Tuan Ir. Ts. Mahat a/l Mat Dong, Deputy Director-General (Development) and Acting Director-General of the Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA). During the visit, the delegation explored handmade products and creative works produced by Orang Asli participants through community programmes supported by PSJKM.

At the same time, PSJKM shared how sewing, handicraft, and business training help participants learn new skills and create income opportunities. Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, PSJKM continues to support communities through practical learning and hands-on experience. As a result, participants gain useful skills while improving their financial stability.

Celebrating Creativity and Community Success

Throughout the programme, the delegation viewed a variety of products created by participants who joined PSJKM training programmes. Not only did the products showcase creativity and craftsmanship, but they also demonstrated how skills training can create new opportunities for families and communities.

Meanwhile, PSJKM shared its ongoing efforts to help communities grow through workshops, guidance, and market access. Consequently, participants build confidence, improve their job opportunities, and increase their earning potential. Most importantly, these programmes help communities become stronger and more independent over time.

Unity Fabric Celebrates 19 Years of Partnerships

During the visit, Tuan Ir. Ts. Mahat added his signature to the special “Unity Fabric” initiative. This textile project brings together signatures from government agencies, partners, and organisations that have supported PSJKM throughout its 19-year journey.

In addition, the Unity Fabric represents the strong relationships built over the years through shared goals and community work. PSJKM plans to turn the completed fabric into a special gift for Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang. The organisation will present the gift during the launch of the “Micro to Kecil” Programme, which is expected to take place in September 2026.

PSJKM appreciates the support of government agencies, corporate partners, and community groups that help create positive change. Therefore, the association welcomes more organisations and individuals to join its efforts in supporting communities through skills development and income opportunities.
