🤝 Exploring Living Skills with RELA Leadership

On 25 June 2025, Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJKM) made a courtesy visit to Jabatan Sukarelawan Malaysia (RELA) to explore sewing skill as one type of living skills for possible future collaboration. The visit was led by PSJKM’s Secretary, Puan Teo Siew Fang, and received by YBhg. KPjR Lokman Effendi Ramli, Ketua Pengarah of RELA, along with senior leadership from the department.

During the meeting, PSJKM introduced our mission to promote self-sufficiency through practical and creative living skills. The dialogue focused on how these skills may benefit RELA members in their personal and volunteer journeys.

This visit served as a meaningful step in building bridges between civil society and national volunteer forces.

💬 Initiating Conversations on Living Skills Development

PSJKM engaged in open discussions with senior RELA officers including YBrs. TKPjR Mahather bin Smoh (Deputy DG, Management) and YBrs. TKPjR Muhamad Ghazali bin Mamat @ Mansor (Deputy DG, Operations). The conversation highlighted the value of hands-on learning and community-oriented skills development.

While this was an introductory visit, both PSJKM and RELA showed interest in exploring synergies, especially in empowering volunteers through lifelong learning and basic living skills.

PSJKM values such conversations as starting points toward more inclusive, practical, and skill-based engagement with Malaysians.

🌿 PSJKM’s Mission to Share Practical Skills
