Empowering Women Through Sustainable Fashion with Zero2Hero
Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJKM) and EcoWorld actively empowering women (15 underprivileged single mothers) through the Zero2Hero program. This six-day workshop teaches sustainable fashion skills like eco dyeing, leaf printing, sewing, and upcycling. Participants create beautiful products from discarded materials, embracing EcoWorld’s vision of “Creating Tomorrow & Beyond.” The program builds not only craftsmanship but also confidence and independence. Moreover, EcoWorld highlights, “We empower these moms to craft, sell, and believe in themselves.”
Hands-on Skills to Transform Lives
During the workshop, participants learn to make eco-friendly fashion items while developing entrepreneurship skills. They gain knowledge in marketing, pricing, and customer engagement. These skills help them start sustainable small businesses. Additionally, the hands-on training ensures they master the craft effectively. Consequently, the women feel empowered to generate income and improve their lives.
Real-World Experience at the Showcase Event
On April 25, 2025, PSJKM and EcoWorld held a showcase at Menara EcoWorld Lobby. The participants displayed and sold their handcrafted products. This event gave them valuable real-world business experience. It also increased their confidence in customer interactions. Furthermore, the event connected the community with the women’s inspiring stories and products.

The Zero2Hero program contributes directly to sustainable development goals. It reduces textile waste through upcycling and promotes eco-friendly practices.
