Celebrating Earth Day with Creative Purpose
On 20th April 2025, PSJKM joined hands once again with Dorsett Grand Subang for a meaningful Earth Day collaboration. This time, we set up a lively and interactive mini exhibition right outside the hotel’s Terazza Brasserie. Guests who were attending the Easter celebration were also invited to explore our sustainable showcase — merging seasonal festivity with eco-conscious inspiration.
This collaboration created a vibrant atmosphere where sustainability, creativity, and community empowerment came together under one roof — or rather, one awning. 🌱
Showcasing Upcycled Art and Live Workshops
Visitors got a chance to explore a curated display of handcrafted upcycled products made from discarded textiles like old jeans, cotton shirts, and even plastic. These creations are proof that waste can become beautiful, useful, and valuable when placed in the hands of skilled artisans.
In addition to the exhibition, we hosted a mini on-site workshop where guests could witness the upcycling process live. Many were inspired to try it themselves, and all of them are very happy with what they able to create with the old cloth that provided to them.
While the participants participating in the workshop we also requested them to share with us on their feelings when they first saw and touch the cloth, and many of them did mentioned on their old memories with their parent and grandparents, which really make us feel that what we are doing is the correct thing. Which having this session not only enable the participants to have chance to experience upcycling which contributed a little to the environment, but also enlighten the feeling of the participants on their precious memories.
