Natural Dye Workshop at SJK(C) Subang Celebrates Graduation
Natural Dye Workshop at SJK(C) Subang marked a meaningful milestone for the school community. Firstly, PSJKM felt deeply honoured to conduct this session for 200 teachers and students. Moreover, the workshop coincided with the Standard 6 graduation, which added strong emotional value. Therefore, the session became more than an activity, as it celebrated learning, growth, and transition. Consequently, students experienced a memorable closing chapter to their primary school journey.
Creating a Meaningful Learning Experience Through Nature
Importantly, the Natural Dye Workshop at SJK(C) Subang allowed students to connect learning with nature. Meanwhile, students explored colours, plants, and patterns through guided hands-on activities. Additionally, teachers joined the session actively, which strengthened shared understanding. As a result, the workshop encouraged reflection, appreciation, and curiosity among participants.
Hands-On Activities That Encouraged Creativity
During the workshop, facilitators introduced natural dye techniques using plant-based materials. Subsequently, students learned simple folding and tying methods for fabric design. Furthermore, students observed how natural colours reacted differently during the dyeing process. Hence, each artwork turned unique, which reinforced confidence and self-expression. Therefore, students learned that creativity grows through experimentation and patience.
Linking Sustainability, Culture, and Education
Beyond creativity, the workshop highlighted environmental responsibility in an accessible way. Moreover, PSJKM explained how natural dye methods help reduce chemical pollution.
