Final Confirmation after Six Months of Discussion
After six months of meaningful discussions, PSJKM and Dorsett Grand Subang finally confirmed the outcome of the 2025 upcycling project. Both teams agreed to focus on two impactful products: the Nasi Lemak Recycle Bag and the Cable Organizer Box. These items reflect everyday use, cultural significance, and sustainable innovation. The decision marked an important milestone that set the project into action without further delay.
Thoughtful Selection of Textiles and Colors
To bring the products to life, the team carefully selected three unique textiles from Dorsett. The Green Flowery Curtain represents growth, renewal, and natural harmony. The Purple Blazer symbolizes elegance, high standards, and timeless class. The Sakura Kimono carries a touch of cultural beauty and grace. These fabrics became the foundation of the collection, ensuring that each upcycled item carried both meaning and style.
Collection Sessions and Environmental Impact
With the final selection in place, PSJKM began the collection process. The first pick-up in July 2025 gathered 35 kg of textiles. The second session in August 2025 collected 42 kg. In total, 77 kg of materials were rescued from potential waste. By converting discarded fabrics into valuable products, this initiative prevented unnecessary landfill contributions and promoted a circular economy. Every kilogram saved meant reduced environmental harm and increased opportunity for community empowerment.
