🌱 HRDC ESG Workshop – Transforming Waste into Creativity and Purpose
The HRDC ESG Workshop with HH Global proved that sustainability and fun can coexist.
Organised by PSJKM, this half-day certified program empowered participants to experience Corporate Sustainability in Action through creative, hands-on upcycling. The session merged environmental responsibility with team building, showing that sustainable thinking can also inspire joy and collaboration.
♻️ Hands-On Learning through Upcycling
The HRDC ESG Workshop began with a lively discussion on textile waste, ESG values, and circular design. Then came the highlight — participants stepped into the world of upcycling, many touching a sewing machine for the very first time. For some, it was a nostalgic return to childhood memories of stitching, while for others, it was an exciting new skill. With simple guidance, everyone successfully transformed 23 used company shirts into stylish tote bags and 23 plastic bags into practical multi-purpose pouches.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter, discovery, and a shared sense of purpose.
Participants realised how creativity can turn waste into functional beauty and how sustainability can be both meaningful and fun.
💪 Team Building That Inspires Responsibility
Beyond learning, the workshop became a vibrant team-building experience. Colleagues collaborated, exchanged ideas, and celebrated each other’s creations. The teamwork and enthusiasm reflected how sustainability can strengthen bonds and spark innovation. By the end, participants not only carried home their handmade items but also a sense of achievement and environmental pride.
🌍 Environmental Results with Real ESG Value
Together, participants donated 8 kg of clothing and 1 kg of plastic waste to PSJKM for future upcycling. These contributions prevented an estimated 67 kg CO₂e emissions, directly supporting SDG 12 and SDG 13.
The HRDC ESG Workshop demonstrated that corporate training can be both measurable and purposeful — developing people while protecting the planet.
